Commissioning

Commissioning

Commissioning Process

1. Get In Touch

Contact Joe via email or phone and inform him what custom furniture you would like MARLIX to create. Forward any sketches, inspiration pictures, design features or other details you have, as this will help us to provide you with an accurate design and quote. Alternatively, you can book an appointment to visit the workshop to discuss your project in person.

2. Initial Quotation

Joe will forward an initial quotation and concept drawing based on the information you’ve provided. Once you’ve given us the green light, your project will progress to step 3.

3. Final Design & Quotation

Changes to the initial design may be required. Joe will work with you to perfect the design, advising on details such as material selection, finishes and methods of construction. Once this stage is approved, a final quotation will be forwarded and you can confirm your order with a 10% deposit. A timeframe for completion will also be provided at this time, taking into account the size and complexity of the commission.

4. Manufacture Commences

This is where your vision will become reality! You are welcome to visit the workshop by appointment to view the journey of your project to its completion.

5. Delivery/Installation

A date and time for delivery will be arranged. Freestanding pieces will require a final payment of the remaining 90% before delivery. Built-in pieces will require a progress payment of 80% prior to delivery followed by a final payment of the remaining 10% once installed.
